General description
This route develops along the most extraordinary roads of Lake Idro, which are rarely on level ground.
Starting from Anfo you’ll climb for 12 kilometres to Passo Baremone, on an uphill called “Piccolo Stelvio”, one of the most loved inclines by enthusiasts for its breathtaking views.
In Passo Baremone, the Rifugio Rosa lodge will provide some refreshments, after which you’ll continue for 6 kilometres reaching Dosso Alto, passing through Berga. There’s a short segment of a few hundred metres on an unpaved and uneven road, rideable with normal road bikes but with the utmost care. Take a break to enjoy the wonderful panorama you’ll see after the slope.
Take the short downhill segment to reach Passo Maniva and dive down the mountain to reaching Bagolino, keeping caution of the rough asphalt. Take your time to visit the fascinating old town before continuing back to Rocca d’Anfo along Lake Idro.
Short route with a great slope, suitable for well-trained bikers.
