Rocca di Sabbio Chiese

Description

The history of the museum, inaugurated in 1992, is connected to the passionate collector Enrico Morelli, who donated hundreds of pieces gathered throughout his search for antiques, to the municipality. The ethnographic heritage, exhibited in the old Church of Saint Nicolas, on the hill that leads to the sanctuary of the Madonna della Rocca, offers a sample of the trades practiced in the valley, from the 18th century onwards.
It is managed, today just as it was then, by a group of volunteers, which have taken care of the exhibition and guarantee its openings.

From May to September open during the same opening hours of the Rocca, on Fridays from 2:30pm to 6:30pm / Saturday and Sunday from 10am-12am and 2:30pm-6:30pm/ all remaining months the museum is open only upon booking.
