Description

The museum represents, based on the quantity and the quality of the artefacts, a unique exhibition of the highest quality in the region and beyond. Situated in the historical centre of Gavardo, the museum conserves and exhibits the material testimonies of the settlements that inhabited the Valsabbina area and the western Gardesana area; from the Palaeolithic era to Roman Civilisations. The site that surrounds the museum was the subject of significant restoration work until 2004, when it was completed. The need to offer the public access to the results of the latest research and to guarantee adequate visibility of the collected testimonies, has prompted the instalment of a number of new features in the museum; in particular in the Lapidary and the Roman room.

Open Monday to Friday 9am - 1pm / Thursday from 2pm - 5pm / Friday from 8:30pm - 9:30pm / Sunday from 2:30pm - 6:30pm
